In the MMO shooter Destiny , changes to the Silver Shop are coming. It will become more random. Additionally, 14 new emotes will likely be introduced.
It has somewhat fallen under the radar amidst the hustle and bustle of recent days. Destiny plans changes for Tess Everis, for the cash shop of Destiny. In the last Weekly Update, it was stated: What they are currently selling will be done “in bags,” which will then cost Silver. Currently, players can purchase the emotes “individually”, paying a set price. So, you know what you are getting for your Silver. It seems that with the changes on Tuesday, this may not be fully possible anymore.
Since Destiny players really like the lottery system… We will see how this plays out on Tuesday evening. The December patch is expected to be released then.
Update: Some YouTubers have already brought the new cash shop from the event, along with the emotes, showcasing everything that is included. Well, that was quick.
New emotes and sparrows coming on Tuesday evening with the patch
The items include new emotes, new sparrows, and a currently mysterious “Racing Book.” It seems that players can buy this book, which then tracks their records, such as how often they finished races, how many speed gates they hit, and how many tricks they performed. According to initial screenshots, this will cost 1000 Silver. The book can then be opened to display these statistics. It appears that a bounty is associated with it.
There will likely also be some “mystery bags,” with the first giving a chance at a random legendary sparrow that the player does not already own. They want 500 Silver for that.
The second package for 100 Silver guarantees a random sparrow horn and a chance at an EV-43 Lightrunner. The sparrow horns are likely a new item slot, presumably “horns” for the sparrows.
For 200 Silver, players will receive an emote from Fall 2015. It is said to be “highly likely to get an emote that you currently do not own,” they say.
For 300 Silver, there is a “pack of gestures,” which includes the air kiss and congratulations. Another pack for 300 Silver includes the crouch and scheming.

These 14 gestures are expected to arrive in Destiny with the December patch on December 8:
- Victory Wave – cheering at one’s countless fans
- Air Guitar – playing the air guitar
- Jump on it – suspiciously reminiscent of Gangnam Style, like Carlton from the TV series Prince of Bel-Air
- Bow Down – paying respect in Destiny through a strong worship gesture
- Jazz Hands – shaking one’s hands in a somewhat silly manner – a typical dance gesture
- Facepalm – the famous “head-in-hand” gesture
- Laugh – a hearty laugh
- Flip Coin – a coin toss
- Thumbs Down – thumbs down
- Thumbs Up – and the thumb goes up
- Clap – a normal clap
- Sad – oh, boohoo, someone is crying
- Yawn – a hearty yawn
- Frustrated – man, how can you!
The “cheering” seems to be directly linked to the Racing Event and is legendary (purple). Just like the other 5 new emotes in Destiny that we mentioned first (which might cost about 500 Silver), the rest should cost 200 Silver each.
