The interesting perk of these armor gloves is the “Poisonous Touch”: When you crouch, you become invisible for a short time. You deal quadruple damage when you use melee to attack an enemy from behind while invisible. Melee attacks have a residual damage effect – the sting essentially carries deadly poison.

In addition to selectable random perks, the bonus “Spring Knife” reduces melee cooldown. Additionally, more perks are specialized in melee. The Year 1 edition of Khepri’s Sting already emphasized this combat style.

Khepri’s Sting certainly requires a very particular playstyle: These gloves are intended for melee combat enthusiasts who enjoy sneaking up on enemies and attacking them from behind. They can bring variety to Year 2.
