Zen Meteor – What will the exotic sniper rifle in Destiny make?

Little is known about this PlayStation-exclusive sniper rifle so far. In the database, like with the upgraded weapons, there is no entry yet. What we know about Zen Meteor in Destiny and what is already speculated about it, you can read in this article.

So far, we only know the name Zen Meteor, which can be roughly translated:

“Absolute perception, total focus. A mind dedicated to a single, lethal point.”

This suggests that the precision of this weapon will be immense and/or the radar will be enhanced. However, so far, we can only speculate about the perks and properties of this weapon. Our community has already posed theories regarding this weapon:

Alastor Lakiska Lines hopes for high impact from this weapon and refers to the name and appearance of the Zen Meteor. It is speculated that this weapon will deal solar damage, as flames appear in the image (see below). However, this has not been confirmed yet.

Tano Nakamura even raises the question of whether it could be a Heavy sniper rifle. This isn’t far-fetched; this idea has been circulating in the community for some time. Perhaps Bungie has caught wind of this.

Our reader dh is excited about the perks of this Exotic – and he is not alone. Timmee275 can imagine that its perks will allow this weapon to deal solar damage over time, but it must first be charged, similar to a fusion rifle.

So far, however, we cannot report anything concrete about Zen Meteor. For now, we can continue to speculate, form theories, and perhaps even dream a little.
