Promise of the Outcast – the only exotic pistol in the game

This exotic pistol could be obtained by Year 1 Guardians in the same way as the Queen Breaker Bow or Lord of Wolves: Through the Prison of Elders quest “The Elder Cipher.” The Year 2 version of this weapon does not yet have an entry in the database.

This weapon is an Arc damage pistol. As it is currently the only exotic pistol in Destiny, alarm bells should be ringing for all pistol aficionados. The primary bonuses are:

• Shock Rounds, which ensure increased ricochet and improved target acquisition.
• Graverobber: There’s a chance to refill the magazine on melee kills if this weapon is equipped.
• Reserve Ammo: This weapon always has ammo on respawn.

This weapon has a very high rate of fire, stability, and reload speed – allowing you to pour damage onto your enemies. However, its range and impact leave something to be desired.

At short and medium distances, the weapon performs its duties. As a special weapon, it lacks the punch of shotguns or the range of snipers. However, if you enjoy blasting with pistols, the Promise of the Outcast offers a serious alternative in Year 2.

Note: In the last live stream about the upcoming Destiny update, it was mentioned that the Promise of the Outcast will receive some kind of guided bullets. Definitely exciting!
