From today on, it begins! The first press conferences at the E3 gaming fair start, and we can expect initial information about new games.
The big developers and publishers present their new games at press conferences, which are held even before the actual start of E3. We want to give you a little overview of these conferences that you can follow in live streams.
Bethesda – The Imperial City is coming closer, TESO showed a trailer
Today at 7 p.m. PST (4 a.m. our time), Bethesda Softworks held the first press conference. At this event, the company notably presented the single-player RPG Fallout 4 in more detail, which will be released on November 10 of this year. Additionally, they also showcased the first Ego multiplayer shooter Doom and announced the stealth-action game Dishonored 2.
As previously announced, there was also new information about the future of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited. A trailer was released that shows, among other things, the upcoming Imperial City, and players can also look forward to bear mounts soon. We will report separately on this later in the day. Interesting: A digital card game has also been announced. With “The Elder Scrolls Legends,” Bethesda is answering Hearthstone.
Microsoft – Halo and more
On Monday, June 15 at 9:30 a.m. PST (6:30 p.m. our time), the press conference by Microsoft follows. No MMORPGs are expected; instead, news about the Halo and Gears of War series as well as Rise of the Tomb Raider. There is also supposed to be a secret game from Rare shown.
Electronic Arts – Star Wars Battlefront Gameplay and SWTOR Add-on
Also on Monday at 1 p.m. PST (10 p.m. our time), Electronic Arts will hold a press conference. In addition to the obligatory new EA sports games, the new Mass Effect 4 will be shown for the first time. EA also has a new version of the online shooter Star Wars Battlefront and a new expansion for SWTOR in tow and will showcase the new game in the Mirror’s Edge series. Whether there will be any more surprises remains to be seen.
Ubisoft – Finally more on The Division
At 3 p.m. PST on Monday (12 a.m. our time), the press conference of Ubisoft follows. Fans expect information about the MMO The Division, the tactical action game Rainbow Six Siege, and the Assassin’s Creed series. A mysterious game called Hero will also be shown, and Ubisoft has always been good for surprises, which is why at least one more game is expected to be announced, which many believe to be Watch Dogs 2.
Sony – Uncharted 4 and The Last Guardian?
The last press conference on Monday is held by Sony at 6 p.m. PST (Tuesday morning at 3 a.m. our time). Gamers are looking forward to new material on Uncharted 4 and hopefully also to a new announcement of The Last Guardian.
Nintendo – Hoping for surprises as well
On Tuesday at 9 a.m. PST (6 p.m. our time), Nintendo will hold its press conference. Announced games will be shown. It is not known whether there will also be surprises.
Square Enix – Final Fantasy
At 10 a.m. PST (7 p.m. our time, Tuesday), the press conference of Square Enix finally follows. It was stated in advance that there would be nothing new to see regarding the role-playing game Final Fantasy XV. Instead, we can expect information about the action RPG Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Additionally, the Heavensward add-on for the MMORPG Final Fantasy XIV will be shown. Fans are likely to hope in vain for a remake or sequel to the classic Final Fantasy VII – but hope, as we know, dies last.
On June 16, the E3 officially starts and will open its doors for gamers and press representatives until June 18. Many smaller companies will also be present and present new games. Among them, there will certainly also be many hidden gems. We will, of course, keep you updated primarily about the MMOs that will be shown and introduced at E3! Until then, check out Nico’s post: What can we MMO players expect at E3?
