As announced in the official forum of The Elder Scrolls Online, the first major content patch is finally arriving for players on Friday morning. It includes a new adventure zone, many small improvements, and the level cap will be raised by two levels.
The rumors have been flying around: The content patch is just around the corner. As we suspected in our news on mein-mmo.de this morning about the traps with special protection features, the Kargstein patch will be implemented alongside regular maintenance. On Thursday afternoon, it will be time for the players of the US mega server, and on Friday morning at 4 AM, the European mega server will be shut down and hopefully go live a few hours later.
The exact patch notes will be available tomorrow afternoon our time when the US server is being maintained. In the official forum, the community manager Kai Schober has already hinted that they will largely consist of the PTS patches 1.1 and 1.1.1, which have been tested for their reliability on the test server in recent weeks.
We have already reported extensively on the 1.1 patch. The highlight is surely the new adventure zone Kargstein (or Craglorn), a 12-man raid with a limited soul count, which also serves as a race against the best times of other players. Additionally, the increase of the level cap to VR 12 along with new items will provide plenty of activities.
