The MMO shooter Defiance is planning a “Kill the Bug” weekend and has discussed an indirect step regarding the Xbox One with Microsoft.
Starting this evening, a “Golden Hellbug Hunter” event is active in Trion Worlds’ Defiance. This runs from June 26 at 9:00 PM until June 29 at 9:00 PM.
The rare loot-hoarding “Hellbugs” subspecies are causing trouble again. There are supposed to be double spawns of them, and they drop Cyber Chips and Cyber Rigs.
In a Q&A session, the development team has cautiously hinted that Defiance may benefit from the backward compatibility of the Xbox One. They have spoken with a representative from Microsoft – but currently, nothing is happening (yet).
Additionally, they plan to introduce larger Arkfalls into the game, reward testers on the PTS, and bring more large “social events” into the game. None of this is finalized, but at least an intention is evident.
