The MMO shooter Defiance presents its next content expansion “Alcatraz” and the expeditions in a preview. Here, players can test their firepower against increasingly stronger waves of enemies.
Expeditions is the new type of challenge that Trion Worlds has designed for their MMO shooter Defiance. The first three are called Hellbug Hunt, The War of Depth, and Flagrant Abuse. They will be part of Alcatraz, the next content expansion, which is expected to arrive soon.
Depending on a player’s EGO level, access to a certain “tier” of expeditions is given, which is essentially the weight class. With EGO 700, one reaches Tier 3, and with EGO 5000, one enters Tier 19.
Anyone wanting to participate in an expedition will need hunter requisitions, which can be purchased via bits or will be available as login rewards. The requisitions are also spent when revivals are necessary, or one sadly gives up on the series.
The goal is to complete as many successful expeditions in a short amount of time as possible to claim ever-increasing rewards and advance from the starting tier to higher ones, until it becomes impossible to continue.
