After some exceptional performances in the new raid area of Destiny 2, a team led by YouTuber Gigz has achieved the next feat. The squad has mastered the entire Escalation Protocol with just three players.
Another masterful achievement by the players: YouTuber Gigz has already caught attention in the latest raid section, the Stargate, with some impressive performances, including a no-weapon kill of the tract boss Val Ca’uor. Now, he has accomplished another true feat with his two companions, Gladd and FleshCrunch.
Escalation Protocol mastered with 3 players
The team successfully fought through all seven stages of the Escalation Protocol event, including the final boss – and did so with only three players in a total of eight hours.
Whether this really is, as Gigz claims, the world’s first three-player clear, has yet to be confirmed, not even by Bungie.
However, this in no way diminishes the special achievement of the squad. Furthermore, there have been no opposing statements or challenges from other players so far.
What makes the achievement so special? Even for high-level and well-coordinated groups, the Escalation Protocol is still not a task that can be solved casually. Many squads still struggle with this PvE event – especially at the last two waves. Numerous events fail due to a lack of players or the increasing difficulty.
For the Escalation Protocol, you are highly dependent on other players and their skills as well as power levels. Especially during the boss fight at the end of the seventh wave, every player counts. However, even if you manage to bring up to eight friends with a little trick, that is by no means a guarantee of success.
With such a small number of players, the event seemed impossible until now. For solo players, this will likely remain the case initially. However, the high-level squad around Gigz has impressively demonstrated that it can indeed be accomplished with three players.
Yet even for these top players, it was anything but easy. The fact that it took almost eight hours and numerous attempts to finally succeed shows this.
