Kelvin
Is Kelvin beginner-friendly? Yes.
All talents of Kelvin:
- Frost Grenade: Throw a grenade that explodes in a cloud of freezing ice, damaging and slowing enemies.
- Ice Path: Kelvin creates a floating trail of ice and snow that grants movement bonuses to him and his allies. Kelvin receives 50% slow resistance for the duration of the talent. Enemies can also walk on the floating path. Press [LEFT SHIFT]/[LEFT CTRL] to travel up or down in the Ice Path.
- Arctic Beam: Kelvin fires icy cold energy in front of him that damages and slows everything it touches. The slow increases with the number of hits landed and makes enemies disarmed at maximum strength. Kelvin has reduced movement speed when using Arctic Beam; this reduction is lifted when he uses Ice Path.
- Frozen Shelter: Kelvin freezes the air around him, creating an impenetrable dome. While inside the dome, allies rapidly regenerate health and enemies are slowed.
Lady Geist
Is Lady Geist beginner-friendly? No.
All talents of Lady Geist:
- Essence Bomb: Sacrifice a portion of your health to ignite a bomb that deals damage after a short cooldown. The self-damage type is spirit and can be mitigated.
- Life Drain: Creates a tether that drains health from the enemy over time and heals you. The target must be in line of sight and at maximum range for health to be drained. You can shoot and use other abilities while draining life, but your movement speed is halved. Press [2] to cancel.
- Malice: Sacrifice part of your health to hurl blood shards that create a stack of “Malice.” Each stack slows the victim and increases the damage they take from you. The slowing effect decreases over time.
- Soul Exchange: Swap health with an opposing target. Activation requires the enemy to have a higher health total than you. There is a minimum percentage of health that enemies can be reduced to.
Lash

Is Lash beginner-friendly? No.
All talents of Lash:
- Ground Strike: Stomp down on the ground beneath you and deal damage to enemies in front of you. If you perform the ground stomp in the air, you dive down quickly.
- Grapple: Pull yourself through the air toward a target and grant yourself a weapon damage bonus. This bonus stacks independently. Using Grapple also restores an endurance charge and all air jumps and dashes.
- Flog: Strike your enemies with your whip and drain their life.
- Death Slam: Focus on your enemies to bind whips to them. After channeling, the connected enemies are lifted and stunned, then slammed to the ground. Your victims and all enemies in the landing zone take damage and are slowed. Press [LMC] to throw connected enemies early.
McGinnis
Is McGinnis beginner-friendly? Yes.
All talents of McGinnis:
- Mini Turret: Deploy a mini-gun that automatically fires at enemies. The turret expires after a limited lifespan. Gun turrets receive 40% of McGinnis’s maximum health and have 60% spirit resistance. They deal reduced damage to troops and targets.
- Medicinal Specter: Deploy a specter that heals nearby units.
- Spectral Wall: Create a wall that divides the terrain in half. Upon creation, the wall deals damage and slows nearby enemies. Press after activation [LMC] or [3] to prematurely cause the wall to break.
- Heavy Barrage: Unleash a salvo of rockets aimed at a specific target.
Mirage
Is Mirage beginner-friendly? No.
All talents of Mirage:
- Tornado: Mirage transforms into a tornado that deals damage and holds enemies in the whirlpool. Enemies in the whirlpool are immobilized. If Mirage leaves the tornado, you get the chance to evade bullets.
- Fire Scarabs: Mirage shoots scarabs at his enemies that reduce their resistance to bullets. The beetles also steal a portion of their maximum health and heal you.
- Djinn’s Mark: Mirage’s shots cause an increasing multiplier on hit enemies. Once the multiplier expires or the number of stacks reaches its limit, the stack is consumed, and the target suffers base damage multiplied by the number over its head. Enemies are also shown on the mini-map.
- Traveler: Mirage can select an enemy on the mini-map and teleport to that location. However, you will be teleported to the location where the enemy was when you activated your ultimate. After the teleport, you enjoy increased movement speed and fire rate.
More about Mirage can be found here in his short overview:
Mo & Krill
Is Mo & Krill beginner-friendly? No.
All talents of Mo & Krill:
- Scorn: Deals damage to nearby enemies and heals you based on the damage dealt. Healing is stronger against enemy heroes.
Burrow: Dig underground, move faster, and gain spirit and projectile armor. Damage from enemy heroes reduces the speed bonus. If you jump out, you launch enemies into the air and perform a whirl attack that deals damage and slows. The cooldown begins when Burrow ends. - Sand Blast: Spray sand that disarms and damages enemies in front of you.
- Combo: Pin down the target, stun it, and deal damage during the activation.
Paradox
Is Paradox beginner-friendly? No.
All talents of Paradox:
- Pulse Grenade: Throw a grenade that begins to pulse on impact. Each pulse deals damage to the victim, slows their movement, and amplifies the damage for Paradox.
Time Wall: Create a time-distorting wall that stops time for all enemy projectiles and bullets that touch it. Enemies touching the wall suffer a percentage of damage based on their maximum health and are temporarily slowed. - Kinetic Carbine: Charge your weapon and increase your movement speed once fully charged. Your next shot releases the energy, deals spirit damage, and stops time for the hit enemy. You can slow time for yourself by pressing [RMC] while a charged shot is available.
- Paradoxical Swap: Fire a projectile that swaps your position with that of the opposing hero. While the effect occurs, you gain the “Lifesteal” spell and the enemy suffers damage over time.
Is Pocket beginner-friendly? No.
All talents of Pocket:
- Barrage: Activate to fire projectiles that deal damage and slow heroes around their impact point. Each projectile that lands on a hero grants you a stackable buff that amplifies all your damage. If cast in the air, you hover and retain the horizontal momentum with which you started.
- Flying Cloak: Throw a cloak that moves forward and deals damage to enemies. You can teleport to its position as it spreads and thus prematurely end its lifespan.
- Enchanter’s Satchel: Hide in your suitcase. When the duration ends, deal damage to enemies nearby. The duration can be prematurely ended by any action.
- Affliction: Deals damage over time to all nearby enemies. Affliction damage is non-lethal and does not apply item procs.
This was the second round with 7 heroes from Deadlock. The last 7 can be found on page 3.
