Dead by Daylight will now take action against cheaters. However, the community doubts that, as there are suspicious coincidences.
On the consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, players of Dead by Daylight are struggling with several issues. The last patch drastically worsened the framerate and many players leave matches early or sabotage the game through griefing. Now there is a ban system on the consoles that can exclude players – but the community has its doubts about that.
Massive exploit on PS4 and Xbox One: A few days ago, a major exploit was discovered in the version of Dead by Daylight on PS4 and Xbox One. Players can unlock an unlimited number of offerings and addons without having to spend bloodpoints. They can even unlock the “Prestige” armor of characters for which you would normally have to play for many hours.
Ban system arrives conveniently timed: Just a few hours after the discovery of this exploit, Behaviour surprisingly announced that a ban system is now active on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. Players can now report cheaters and appropriate penalties will be imposed if the evidence strengthens.
Players do not believe in the ban system: Players are now wondering why the announcement of a supposedly functioning ban system was made right after the exploit was discovered. After months of no positive feedback on a ban system for the consoles, players see this as a bluff.
It is only about intimidating the cheaters and exploiters a little so that not more players take advantage of the bugs. After all, in the many months before, where there were numerous complaints about hackers and so-called “lag switchers”, nothing was done.

Whether Behaviour really installed a ban system that conveniently became active at the same time as the exploit is not easy to verify. Players are therefore waiting for first reports of bans before they believe this story.
