Dead by Daylight has spontaneously gained a prominent killer. The crazy Leatherface is now swinging his chainsaw.
A few weeks ago, Dead by Daylight received a new DLC called A Lullaby for the Dark, which introduced the Huntress as a new killer. Without much warning, Dead by Daylight has now released its next DLC and boasts a killer celebrity: Leatherface.
If the name “Leatherface” sounds familiar, you’re probably right. The good man comes from the “The Texas Chain Saw Massacre” movie and takes great pleasure in sawing the skin from his victims’ bones to make his own mask. And all of this is just to keep his family satisfied with him.
The playstyle of Leatherface, or “The Cannibal,” is similar to that of Hill Billy – of course, the characters are similar. However, unlike Hill Billy, Leatherface has full control over his charge and can steer during it. He is slower during the charge but can hit targets in a larger radius. But his 3 perks, which will shake up the game, are likely the most important.
- Barbecue & Chili: After a survivor is hung on the hook, the auras of all other survivors are shown for 4 seconds if they are more than 40 meters away.
- Knock Out: The hits are so hard that dying survivors cannot call for help. When a survivor goes down, their aura is not shown to other survivors if they are more than 16 meters away.
- Franklin’s Demise: Successful attacks against survivors cause them to drop their carried item. Items lose 10% of their charge in the process.
On Steam, Leatherface costs about 4 euros and is therefore cheaper than other DLCs – however, the DLC does not include a survivor.
By the way, Dead by Daylight can be played for free on Steam this weekend, and the base game as well as all “old” DLCs are 50% off. So, this is the perfect opportunity to dive into the game or bring a few new friends to the hook.
