Dead by Daylight doubles the bloodpoints. This is not only worthwhile for veterans, but also for newcomers it is the perfect opportunity.
Update 04/14/2022: The event has changed. Instead of double bloodpoints, there are 100,000 bloodpoints for login every day.
Original story: Easter is just around the corner and with it the time begins in Dead by Daylight to hunt colorful eggs nasty survivors. The developers want to give you a little more incentive to play as killers or survivors during the Easter holidays. Bloodpoints are raining again, allowing all players to make significant progress much more quickly.
A leak reveals that a “Blood Hunt” is coming up in the next few days. So far, the leak account “DbDLeaks” on Twitter has always been right – and the timing also sounds plausible. However, keep in mind that an official announcement is still pending.
What kind of event is this? At more or less regular intervals, Dead by Daylight hosts a so-called “Blood Hunt”. During this event, the acquisition of bloodpoints is doubled for all players. This applies to all bloodpoints that you can earn during a match.
Exceptions to the bonus are bloodpoints that you receive through quests, challenges, or codes.
How long does the “Blood Hunt” last? The event runs over the entire Easter weekend, from April 14th to April 18th. You can benefit from the increased bloodpoints for this duration and stock up properly – either for immediate new unlocks or with the next new killer and survivors.
Why is this particularly good for newcomers? The entry into Dead by Daylight is relatively tough. This is not only due to the many subtleties and details that you only learn over hundreds of hours of gameplay but also because of the grind that is initially necessary. Most strong perks are tied to specific characters and are only accessible through unlocking for all characters. This unlocking is done through bloodpoints – so receiving double the amount is a pretty strong bonus for beginners.
Of course, the double bloodpoints are also worthwhile for veterans who want to complete their perk collection or unlock some of the particularly bloody “Prestige” skins.
Are the bonuses combinable? Yes. The 100% additional bloodpoints can be combined with all other bloodpoint bonuses. So if you also use offerings or perks that increase your bloodpoint gain, then that can be combined and increases your bloodpoints even further.
Keep in mind that the bonuses are additive and not multiplicative.
Will you catch some survivors over Easter or try to escape the killer? Or can such an event not excite you?
