The latest killer in Dead by Daylight is the Oni. And he doesn’t do things halfway. His execution, or his “Mori”, has become particularly brutal again.
In Dead by Daylight, the release of a new killer is coming soon. The “Oni” is the killer from Chapter 14 and brings a type of “samurai demon” to the battlefield. Like all killers, he can not only hang survivors on hooks and kill them that way, but also manually kill them by hand when certain conditions are met. And the Oni shows that he is a truly brutal brute – because his “Mori” animation is very bloody.
This is how the Oni kills his victims: The Oni makes quick work of his victims. First, he stabs the survivor with his katana just below the throat and pins him to the ground. Afterwards, the survivor’s tongue is ripped out and crushed, before the Oni takes out his mace and delivers a blunt blow to the victim’s face. Since the victim is still alive afterwards, two more powerful blows are delivered with all his might to the entire body.
A quite brutal and cruel execution that perfectly underscores the dark nature of the Oni.
How can players be killed this way? To kill players manually in Dead by Daylight, there are various ways. The easiest way is with a specific offering, called “Moris”. Depending on the quality of the Mori, you can kill one or more survivors if they have already been on the hook once. Alternatively, this can also be achieved with various perks, such as “Hex: Devour Hope” or “Rancor”. Then you can enjoy this rather brutal scene and take a survivor out of the game immediately.

When can you play as the Oni? Currently, the Oni is only available on the PTR. For the rest of the players, it will probably take another 2-3 weeks. Beginning of December, one should expect the new killer.
What do you think of the Oni’s Mori animation? Is it too brutal or just perfectly splendid for the cruelty of this killer?
