Dead by Daylight and Konami are apparently collaborating. Both “Pyramid Head” and Heather will soon be in Dead by Daylight.
Dead by Daylight has now celebrated its 4th birthday and has let a big cat out of the bag. Apparently, an agreement has been reached with Konami, as the next chapter takes players into the world of Silent Hill. The killer “Pyramid Head” will serve the Entity, and Cheryl Mason, whom fans probably know better as Heather, will join the survivors.
What can the new killer do? The “Pyramid Head” will bear the name “Executioner” in Dead by Daylight and has a quite extensive and interesting kit of abilities. He has a normal movement speed of 115% (like most killers) and a terror radius of 32 meters.
His ability is Rites of Judgement and quite complex, as it does a lot of different things.
If the ability button is held down, the killer drives his sword into the ground and leaves a trail of barbed wire behind him. Survivors who enter the barbed wire walking or running (but not crouching) are affected by torture and trigger the killer instinct. They reveal their position.
A survivor who has gone down and is still affected by torture does not have to be carried to a hook. Instead, the killer can nearly instantly teleport him to a random position on the map, where he is locked in a penance cage. The penance cage essentially functions like a hook and slowly brings the survivor closer to death. Other survivors can rescue the captive as usual, thus freeing him from the “torture” effect as well.
If a survivor is suffering from torture and would die when hung on a hook or penance cage, the Executioner can instead execute him spontaneously – this is not a Mori, but a significantly faster action.
While Rites of Judgement is charged (i.e., the sword is stuck in the ground), the Executioner can perform a special attack. This injures all survivors in a straight line in front of the killer and has a range of several meters.
These are the perks of the “Silent Hill” killer

Like all killers, “The Executioner” comes with three unique perks. As usual, he possesses these perks alone at the beginning, but they can be unlocked for all killers through the blood web. His three perks are:
- Forced Penance: Survivors who are hit while protecting are affected by the “Broken” status for 20/25/30 seconds (cannot be healed).
- Trail of Torment: After kicking a generator, you become Undetectable for 15 seconds, meaning you have no terror radius. The survivors see the aura of the kicked generator for the duration of the effect. Has a cooldown of 120/100/80 seconds.
- Deathbound: If a survivor heals another survivor who has taken damage while being more than 32 meters away from you, he screams and activates Deathbound for the next 45 seconds. He suffers from the “Oblivious” effect when he is more than 16/12/8 meters away from healed survivors.
Whether these perks will be among the best perks of the killers remains to be seen.
These are the perks of Cheryl Mason
Cheryl Mason also has three unique perks, with which she starts as a survivor and that other survivors can learn from her. Her perks are:
- Soul Guard: You gain the Condition status for 4/6/8 seconds after being healed or healed from the dying state. Additionally, you can fully heal from the dying state as long as a curse is active (e.g.: Curse: Ruin).
- Blood Pact: If you or the Obsession target is injured, you can see each other’s auras. Once the Obsession target heals you or vice versa, you both benefit from the Haste status for 4/6/8 seconds. Reduces the chance of becoming the Obsession. Deactivates if you become the Obsession.
- Repressed Alliance: The perk becomes active after generators have been repaired for a total of 80/70/60 seconds. When the perk is active, you can press the “Active Ability” button while repairing a generator. The Entity will then block this generator for 30 seconds and deactivate the perk.
Whether these perks will be among the best perks of the survivors is rather questionable.
When does the DLC come out? If you want, you can already try the new killer, the survivor, and the perks on the PTR of the PC version of Dead by Daylight. If everything goes according to plan, the “Silent Hill” chapter will be released in about 3 weeks, although this date may still change – depending on the results on the PTR.
What do you think of the new killer?
