A killer in Dead by Daylight can kill everyone if he simply stops playing. The survivors had no chance of winning.
Dead by Daylight is at its core an exciting horror game, but occasionally matches take such absurd turns that you can’t help but shake your head with a grin. This recently happened in a game where all 4 survivors died simultaneously – without the killer moving. The players had no chance against the Pig.
What happened? In the Dead by Daylight subreddit, player NaNiBy posted a short clip showing the infamous end for him and his teammates. They are up against Amanda Young from the SAW series – better known as the “Pig”. All 4 survivors have an inverted bear trap on their heads and the timer is ominously close to running out. Yet, no one is able to remove their bear trap – because the Pig has positioned itself right in front of the saving box and is waiting there so that no one can search the box, as if it were afk.
The cruel end: All 4 survivors die simultaneously from the bear traps – something that is extremely rare.
How does this work? The inverted bear trap from the killer “Pig” has several components. Its primary purpose is to slow down the game and prevent survivors from working on generators – death from this trap is supposed to happen only rarely. When placed on the head, the trap does nothing at first. Only when the next generator is completely repaired does the trap activate and a timer begins to run.
The survivors must now search multiple boxes, as only one of them contains the key that allows them to remove the trap.
The survivors do not know, however, which box contains their key – as this is determined randomly each time. The killer does not know this either. So if the killer wants to employ such a “tactic,” he simply has to guess and choose a box.
What is the likelihood of this happening? Quite low. The probability that the key for all survivors is in the same box is already low. But the chance that not only all keys are in the same box, but that the killer also guesses correctly and blocks the exact right box, is even smaller – it is about 0.39%.
In addition, the killer must also use a very rare addon for this strategy so that all survivors start with a bear trap on their heads.
