A new chapter for Dead by Daylight is now live. The patch “Darkness Among Us” brought many new contents.
Since last night (12/11/2018), the new chapter for Dead by Daylight is available in the shops of various platforms. The chapter named “Darkness Among Us” comes with the usual contents of a major patch. It includes a new killer and a new survivor, each with three fresh perks, as well as a new map.
This is what the new killer “The Legion” can do: The Legion can activate the ability “Feral Frenzy,” which allows them to enter a temporary blood frenzy. They become faster and can rush over pallets and windows. Hit targets suffer from a new bleeding effect and must be healed, otherwise they will go down.
Additionally, The Legion has the following perks:
- Discordance: When two or more survivors are working on the same generator, the aura of that generator is revealed for a few seconds.
- Mad Grit: While carrying a survivor, the killer has no cooldown on missed attacks. If they hit a survivor while carrying, the carried survivor cannot defend themselves for a few seconds and cannot fill the progress bar (“Wiggle Meter”).
- Iron Maiden: The killer searches lockers faster. Additionally, the position of a survivor who leaves a locker is revealed every time. For a few seconds, that survivor will suffer from the “Exposed” effect (going down with one hit).

This is what the survivor Jeff Johansen can do: Like all survivors, Jeff Johansen comes with three of his own perks:
- Breakdown: Each time the survivor is rescued from a hook or frees themselves, the hook is destroyed and the killer’s aura is revealed for a few seconds.
- Aftercare: Cooperation creates a bond between survivors. When the survivor heals someone or rescues them from a hook, a bond is created, allowing both survivors to see each other’s aura across the entire map. The effect is deactivated (and must be re-earned through healing/help) if the survivor with the perk is hooked.
- Distortion: The survivor starts the match with 3 tokens. Each time their aura is shown to a killer, a token is consumed, suppressing the display of their aura for a few seconds.
What is the price of the DLC? Those who want to buy the chapter for real money will pay €7 and get The Legion and Jeff Johansen. Alternatively, both characters can also be purchased in the game’s shop for in-game currency (both real money and earnable). The new map is available to all players, regardless of whether they own the DLC.
