The developers of Dead by Daylight are confident: There will be new killers, survivors, and maps for years to come.
Dead by Daylight has developed fantastically since its launch in 2016 – despite Pay2Lose. The development team, which initially consisted of 35 people, has now grown into the triple digits. This also ensures that developers can increasingly release new content in the form of killers, survivors, events, or cosmetics.
In an interview with mmorpg.com, the developers discussed the rough plan they have for 2019 and beyond.
The plan for 2019: Although the developers say they can’t reveal anything concrete yet, it looks like they want to “copy” the 2018 roadmap and stick with the plan. This would mean four new chapters (each with one killer, one survivor, and one map). Furthermore, there should also be “big, fundamental improvements” to the game. The performance on consoles PS4 and Xbox One is particularly mentioned here, which still leaves much to be desired for many players.
Content for many years: The developers also gave a small insight into their internal, long-term plan. They briefly considered a “Dead by Daylight 2” but quickly dismissed the idea. Instead, they want to keep improving the base game and have a plan that would last for “five to seven years”. This should mean a lot more new killers and survivors.
The last killer was “The Spirit” and has been dismantling survivors on the live servers for several weeks now. It shouldn’t be long before a new killer is announced.
Which killer would you like to see in Dead by Daylight? What would fit well into the eerie world of the Entity?
