The latest killer for Dead by Daylight has been revealed. A big clown wants to sacrifice you – and he looks really creepy.
Since the first film adaptation of IT (the good original, of course!), clowns are no longer just a source of joy but have come into horror. The upcoming chapter of Dead by Daylight “Curtain Fall” brings a new killer, the clown. He is not only eerie but also extremely brutal. He likes to taste the fingers of his victims.
The clown’s abilities: The clown has the ability called “Afterpiece Tonic”. This is a bottle of toxic gas that is thrown at survivors. Upon contact with the target, it releases a large gas cloud. Affected survivors cough loudly and move slower for a short time, making them easier to hit. Additionally, the poison distorts the survivor’s vision.
The clown has only a limited number of bottles that he can throw. After that, he has to brew new ones, which he can do anywhere on the map. He only needs to channel an ability for that and moves very slowly while doing it.
Mori is particularly brutal: In his “Mori” animation, he brutally stomps on the survivor’s head, then cuts off a finger, licks it, and adds it to his collection.
The clown comes with three perks:
- Bamboozle: The speed at which the killer vaults through windows is 5%/10%/15% faster. Vaulting through a window summons the entity, which blocks the window for survivors for 8/12/16 seconds. Only one window can be blocked this way at a time.
- Coulrophobia: Survivors within the terror radius heal 30%/40%/50% slower.
- Pop Goes The Weasel: After a survivor has been hooked, the next “generator sabotage” action results in the generator instantly losing 15%/20%/25% of its progress. Normal regression begins afterward.
The new survivor is Kate Denson. She also comes with three unique perks.
- Dance With Me: When you vault through a window or leave a locker while sprinting, you will leave no scratch marks for three seconds.
- Windows of Opportunity: Pallets and windows are shown to you as auras when they are within a 20-meter radius. The perk has a cooldown of 60/50/40 seconds when the survivor vaults through a window or knocks over a pallet during a chase.
- Boil Over: The “wobble” effects on the killer are 25%/50%/75% stronger. Additionally, the killer no longer sees the auras of hooks within a radius of 8/10/12 meters.
Update brings cash shop and lots of cosmetics: The upcoming patch 2.0 brings much more than just the clown killer and the new survivor. There will be an in-game shop where numerous cosmetic items can be purchased. Either through earned in-game currency or (as before) for real money. New to this is that DLC content, such as playable characters, can also be earned through gameplay time. This means that you no longer have to buy DLCs, but can unlock them specifically without paying money.

There is no fixed release date yet, apart from the indication “in June”. Currently, the contents are being tested on a test server.
