The latest killer in Dead by Daylight is set to turn the game upside down. Because ‘The Good Guy’ receives a very special perspective.
In Dead by Daylight, the release of the next killer is just a few days away. Chucky, the killer doll, brings with it several innovations that have not been seen with any other killer so far. For example, Chucky can be played from a third-person perspective and sometimes enlists the help of a human soul to hook survivors.
Chucky’s abilities ‘The Good Guy’ in Dead by Daylight
Perhaps the biggest peculiarity of Chucky is not only his extremely small stature but also the fact that he is the only killer played from a ‘third person’ view – very similar to a survivor. The developers intentionally designed him this way because otherwise, Chucky simply wouldn’t be fun, as he can’t look over obstacles and would be helpless in chases.
But Chucky’s actual powers are impressive, as they are sure to cause plenty of chaos:
Chucky can activate the ‘Hidey-Ho’ mode for 14 seconds. While this mode is active, he has no terror radius and creates misleading footprints and sounds all over the map that survivors can see and hear.
As long as he is in this mode, he can activate ‘Slice & Dice’ to charge a storm attack. He then charges forward at high speed for several meters and strikes at the end of the attack (or as soon as the button is released).
Particularly interesting is his ‘Scamper’ ability. As long as Chucky is in the Hidey-Ho mode, he can crawl under a pallet in 1.4 seconds instead of destroying it, allowing him to maintain the chase.

Chucky’s Perks in Dead by Daylight
Chucky, ‘The Good Guy’, comes with three unique perks like all killers. As usual, only Chucky can use the perks at the beginning, but you can also unlock them for all other killers through the blood web and prestige system. His three perks are:
- Hex: Two Can Play – If the killer is blinded by a survivor 4 / 3 / 2 times and no hex totem is bound to this perk, a dull totem is turned into a hex totem. As long as the totem exists, any survivor who stuns or blinds the killer will also be blinded for 1.5 seconds.
- Friends ‘Til the End: If you hook a survivor who is not the obsession, the obsession becomes vulnerable for 20 seconds, and their aura is revealed for 6 / 8 / 10 seconds. When the killer hooks the obsession, another survivor screams and becomes the new obsession.
- Batteries Included: When the killer stays within 12 meters of a generator that has already been fully repaired, they move 5% faster. This effect also lasts for 3 / 4 / 5 seconds after leaving the area of effect. The perk is deactivated once the exit gates are powered.
When will the chapter be released? The Chucky chapter will be released on November 28, so next Tuesday. From then on, you can take out the survivors with the killer doll – or frantically flee from the surprise attacks of the smallest splatter killer in the world.
