The latest update of Dead by Daylight is live. The Clown killer is on the loose and brings the new patch 2.0 – along with the in-game shop and much more.
Dead by Daylight has released its major update 2.0 on PC. The new killer “The Clown” now stalks in the fog and throws toxic mixtures at his enemies before chopping off their fingers and adding them to his collection. In conjunction with the release of the patch “Curtain Call,” a new trailer was also released to capture the mood of the game.
We have already introduced you to the Clown and the new survivor Kate Denson with their perks in this article:
What does the in-game shop offer? In the Dead by Daylight shop, almost all characters can be purchased – either as usual through real money or Iridescent Shards. The latter can be obtained automatically while playing. It is thus possible to unlock almost all characters (except licensed ones, like Michael Myers or Freddy Krueger) through pure gameplay. Aside from that, there are numerous cosmetic upgrades in the shop to customize survivors and killers according to your preferences.
A lot of changes to the game. Update 2.0 also made numerous changes to the game’s balance. Killers now have it a bit easier, as pallets no longer create a “vacuum” that survivors can escape through. Before the patch, survivors could perform the “stun” action on one side of the pallet, then be “teleported” to the other side of the pallet and continue to flee. This granted them some extra meters and stunned the killer. Now, a pallet can only be knocked down on the side where the survivors are located.
However, it will still take some time until the update “Curtain Call” is also released on consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
