In The Coming Storm, players can expect a major content update in the Open Beta of Dauntless that throws the city of Ramsgate into chaos.
The big update is coming
A major change. An Ostian Dreadnought crashes in the city of Ramsgate, the central hub of the online action RPG Dauntless. Large parts of the city are destroyed, even visually reshaping it. However, the crash also brings good things, as you’ll meet a variety of new NPCs who have more quests for you. The Ostians are also carrying interesting new items:
- New explosive grenades
- The Ostian Repeater as the first real ranged weapon
- Craft the Ostian items yourself
The Behemoth Koshai, Sovereign of Thorns, is coming! You will also need the Ostian weapons right away, as a new Behemoth named Koshai, Sovereign of Thorns, appears. This is a creature like you have never seen before. Koshai itself not only presents a significant challenge, but it also has the ability to influence and alter other Behemoths.
- Other Behemoths change their behavior under Koshai’s influence
- The Behemoths mutate and change their form
- Even the monsters whose behavior you have already studied will become difficult to crack again
When does The Coming Storm start? The big update will be deployed on August 9. Then you can expect new challenges and features that should make the Free-to-Play game Dauntless even more interesting.
2 million players in the beta. The developers of Dauntless are also pleased to have gained over 2 million players since the beta started in May. The monster-hunter-like action RPG has thus already become a major success even in beta!
