What is Dauntless? Dauntless is an action role-playing game inspired by the popular Monster Hunter series. You and your friends embark on a hunt for dangerous monsters.
- The monsters, called Behemoths, can be found on floating islands.
- You accept hunting quests in the city of Ramsgate and equip yourselves accordingly.
- Each Behemoth requires different tactics to defeat it.
- It’s important to identify the weaknesses of the creatures.
- Teamplay is essential.
- Defeated Behemoths leave resources from which you can craft new and better equipment.

When does the game launch? Dauntless will officially launch on May 21.
On which platforms will it be available? The action RPG will be released for PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
Where can you play the PC version? Dauntless is exclusively available on the Epic Games Store.
What about Nintendo Switch and smartphones? The role-playing game has also been announced for Nintendo Switch and as a mobile game. These versions will be released at a later, yet unspecified date.
Is there crossplay? Crossplay between platforms is planned. However, the developers have not provided further details yet.
How much does Dauntless cost? The action RPG will be released as a free-to-play title. The item shop mainly sells cosmetic items.
No Wipe but a Switch to the Epic Games Store
Is there a wipe after the beta? The open beta was essentially a soft launch. The game will simply go live now. Your characters will be carried over.

What you need to do when switching to the Epic Games Store: The PC version of Dauntless will only be playable via the Epic Games Store starting May 21. Here’s how to continue playing:
- Create an Epic Games Account.
- Download the Epic Games Store client.
- Log in on the Dauntless website.
- Link your game account with your Epic account.
- You may need to rename your character.
What else does the launch bring? On May 21, the new Hunt Pass will also launch with the game. This offers you plenty of challenges and rewards in the new season.
