In Pokémon GO there are now first hints of Crypto-Mewtwo. We show you what has been found and how powerful this form could be.
Data miners are now showing this: The PokéMiners reveal the new find. The Crypto version and the redeemed version of Mewtwo have been found. It looks completely normal and just has the changed eyes.
No further information is available. It is still unknown whether and when Crypto-Mewtwo will come to the game. But one thing is for sure: Mewtwo in the Crypto version could become incredibly powerful!
Crypto-Mewtwo in Pokémon GO – What it means
How could Crypto-Mewtwo come to the game? So far, legendary Cryptos have always come into the game through Giovanni. The Rocket leader always fought with a Legendary at the end of the encounter, which we could then catch. This month, by the way, it’s Crypto-Suicune.
So one could expect Mewtwo next time. After all, the 3 legendary birds from Gen 1 and the 3 legendary dogs from Gen 2 have already been introduced. Now something new should come – Mewtwo would fit.
What stands out particularly about Crypto-Mewtwo: The Crypto versions of Pokémon are always a bit stronger in attack. Since a change in March 2020 the attack has been increased to 1.2 and the defense decreased to 0.83. This means that Crypto-Pokémon are no longer as sturdy in battle, but deal more damage.
When applying this to Mewtwo, we could get a new top attacker here. If Crypto-Mewtwo knows all the common moves of normal Mewtwo, it should become even stronger than normal Mewtwo.
The legendary Pokémon is already a top attacker with an attack value of 300. So we could see a new best all-rounder in the game. It will definitely be one of the Pokémon that deal the most damage in Pokémon GO.
What you should keep in mind: This is a leak. While it is certainly plausible that Crypto-Mewtwo will come to the game soon, one should initially view the situation with a degree of skepticism. There is no guarantee that this find will be implemented “as is” in the game.
New, however, is a feature in raids. You can now finally enter the lobby without using a pass.
