Some fans have discovered content in the game files of Fallout 76 that could soon make its way into the game. This includes the “real” Sheepsquatch, a new dungeon, information about the next big update, and more.
What are these clues? Both text lines and descriptions were found in the game files, as well as images and dialogues. In a reddit post by user TheGeminaii, these were compiled and discussed by the community.
These are the clues to new content
The “real” Sheepsquatch: With one of the past patches, a new event in Fallout 76 appeared that brought a new “overboss”, the Sheepsquatch. However, this version was just an imposter, a fake.
- The currently existing Sheepsquatch in the game is merely an Aggressotron whose behavior patterns have been altered and who is wearing a costume.
- Some dataminers have now found a model of a “real” Sheepsquatch.
- The Sheepsquatch is supposed to appear both as a regular cryptid and as an event.
- In the event, players must protect a herd of Brahmin from the monster.
However, since the found model is a modified version of a Deathclaw, fans are unsure if the image is real.
The Scout Camp: Under the name “Always Upward”, a new quest line will appear that is supposed to lead to new events similar to the new alcohol feature.
- You will take on the role of a young scout who works their way up through the ranks.
- You will be able to earn various badges for cooking, first aid, and archery.
- The quest line is set to culminate in repeatable events during which you will clear the camp or drive away insects.
For this feature, bows and arrows as weapons are even planned. There should also be a unique event where a Mr. Handy tells a story and participants vote on how it continues.
The quest’s arrival is already known from the Fallout 76 roadmap. The information is, however, new.
New dungeon – Arktos Pharma Lab: According to the information about a new dungeon, the Arktos Pharma Lab will be similar to the caves under Harpers Ferry. The Arktos Pharma Lab is also underground but has a different story.
- The lab was intended as a secret research station for experiments on animals.
- After the bombs fell, the researchers sent scouts outside but were overrun by ghouls.
- One of the robots survived and is now seeking help.
In the dungeon itself, you must help the bot to protect animals in several stages and then house and feed them.
Information on already known contents: In the files, the dataminers also found information about contents that are already confirmed:
- The legendary trader will probably have various locations where he can appear
- Nuclear Winter seems to be a conflict between MODUS and survivors of the Enclave
- The new raids Vault 94 and Vault 96 have their own stories:
- Vault 94 was a peaceful, religious vault that was destroyed by raiders
- Vault 96 was a social experiment in which imprisoned researchers were supposed to act against their nature and accidentally created monsters
How reliable are the leaks? Some of the contents are very likely. The Sheepsquatch with its own model as well as the Arktos Pharma Lab already appear in the embedded trailer of Wild Appalachia, each at minute 0:56 and 1:43.
In an earlier version of the post, information about legendary power armors also appeared. This information was removed as it was apparently incorrect. Some fans are still hesitant to trust the clues.
When will the new content come? At least for the Sheepsquatch, TheGeminaii is confident that it will appear next week. In the latest patch of Fallout 76, the camera along with challenges was introduced. One of the challenges is to take a picture of the Sheepsquatch.
For the remaining contents, it is still not determined whether or when they will come.
