In Pokémon GO, there may soon be 4 completely new types of quests. A data miner discovered tasks related to PvP and specific locations.
What was found? The data miner Chrales found, in addition to various other discoveries, also new types of quests. These are tasks that have never been available to solve in Pokémon GO before.
Soon, you might fight in PvP or walk a certain number of kilometers to complete a field research task.
These 4 quests will be new
These are the field researches: No exact numbers have been found yet, just the basic task. It states:
- Win a PvP battle
- Win an NPC battle
- Visit certain locations
- Walk X kilometers
This is new: Many players have been waiting especially for the quests in PvP. So far, while there have been rewards from these battles, there have been no special field researches for them.
The quest “Visit certain locations” presents a riddle. Which locations are meant here? There is mainly speculation about PokéStops or gyms that you need to visit. It remains to be seen what Niantic will come up with.
When will the new quests arrive? A complete list of field researches already exists for May and June. The tasks might only come in July, or they could be part of special events.
There are regularly events that bring new field researches. This currently also includes the Detective Pikachu event.
What else did the data miner find? In update 0.143.0, there were numerous discoveries. For instance, special lures were found that can assist in the evolution of Pokémon.
Additionally, a text passage about a sleeping Snorlax was found, which may come to the game soon.
