In Pokémon GO the new update 0.167.0 has been released. This brings many details about Crypto Eggs that you may soon receive from Team GO Rocket.
What did the dataminers find? Numerous innovations await you in the update 0.167.0 of Pokémon GO. In addition to changes to your profile data and new Pokémon forms, the highlight is the discovery of Crypto Eggs.

Are Crypto Eggs coming to Pokémon GO soon?
This is what was found about Crypto Eggs: The first files about the new eggs already appeared in the last update of Pokémon GO. Now, however, there are more details in the form of first images of the special eggs.
The Crypto Egg is red and otherwise resembles the other eggs that you can receive from gifts and PokéStops.
What exactly these eggs contain has not been revealed by the new update yet. However, it is likely that they will live up to their name and contain Crypto Pokémon.
Many trainers already suspect that the eggs can be obtained from PokéStops that are currently occupied by Team GO Rocket or even as a reward from Rocket battles.
More profile info and event Pokémon
There is more info about other trainers: An additional content from the new update is improved profile information. For example, when you click on a trainer’s profile in a raid or among your friends, there is more information available with the update.
Now the following details are displayed:
- distance walked
- Pokémon caught
- PokéStops spun
- total experience points
- start time
Until now, there were only 3 pieces of info about the trainer. The completed battles of the player are no longer displayed. However, there are now 3 additional details.
Particularly, many players will be interested in the total XP. So far, you could only see which level the trainer is at. Starting at level 40, which is the maximum level, you could only guess the total XP. However, with the new update you can now see it.
New event Pokémon in April? The dataminers have also found two files that are tagged with the “no evolve” addition. These always hide new event Pokémon that you cannot evolve.
Some of the party hat Pokémon from the hatching marathon in January were, for example, tagged with this addition. They could not be evolved then.
This time, the following two text files were found:
- APRIL_2020_NOEVOLVE
- SAFARI_2020_NOEVOLVE
The first file could be a new event Pokémon for April 1st. Last year, Niantic had already hidden a special Pikachu in the snapshot feature.
The second file is likely an event Pokémon for the safari zones in 2020. However, one can only speculate about which Pokémon is meant.
What you need to consider: Of course, these are just findings of the dataminers. Besides the new profile info that is already live, the other features may not necessarily come to the game.
It remains to be seen if and when the new features will actually come to Pokémon GO.
