Now the data miner Chrales, who regularly searches the game code of Pokémon GO, found the shiny version of the Pokémon. Chrales also discovered the mysterious new Pokémon Meltan in the code.

What does the find mean for players? In the code of Pokémon GO, there is now Shiny Ditto. Visually, you can recognize it by its blue form. However, these have not yet been confirmed in the wild. It is unclear when they will be released. So far, nothing has changed for players.
This is what trainers are pondering: The shiny form of Ditto sparked lively discussions on Reddit. It is already being speculated how one can catch such a Ditto.
Oceanicshark writes on Reddit: “Oh my God! It will be so hard to catch a Shiny Ditto, haha.”
The Reddit user is not wrong. Catching the shiny form of a Pokémon has always been a challenge. The probability of it happening is very low.
Now, not only does this probability have to occur, but it also has to be a Ditto that you cannot recognize at first glance.
The Reddit user pokerealm says about this: “Shiny Ditto would be the best moment to introduce the shiny forms of Taubsi and Co.”
This is the “Shiny Taubsi” theory: Ditto hides in the forms of Taubsi, Flurmel, and other common Pokémon. It would therefore be a way to have these Pokémon also appear in their shiny form. If you catch a Shiny Taubsi that then transforms into Ditto, Ditto will also become shiny.
Much theory, little practice: The discussions about Shiny Ditto are loud. So far, however, they are just speculations.
The fact is that the shiny version is now in the code. In the game, however, it has not yet been found by trainers. It remains to be seen when Niantic will introduce this shiny form into the game.
This is what makes Shiny Ditto special: Until now, it has always been a gamble to catch Ditto. The special Pokémon takes on the form of other Pokémon. When you catch this, Ditto is revealed, and you receive it in your Pokémon box. Finally, Ditto had a special appearance during the Community Day with Endivie.
