The service of the MMORPG ASTA is being discontinued – again. After Webzen, the new operator Move Games is throwing in the towel.
In autumn 2016, Webzen announced that it would no longer operate the MMORPG ASTA. Subsequently, Move Games announced it would take over the game starting April 2017. However, it seems that ASTA simply has too hard of a time in the Free2Play market to be successful there. Because as Move Games announced on Steam, the servers will be shut down on December 9.

ASTA ends – again
The team explains that since April, it has been trying to provide a high-quality service for the MMO. But it has all been in vain, and they can no longer sustain operations. The service was therefore discontinued on November 9. On December 8, the servers will be shut down.
It is no longer possible to download the game, and the creation of new accounts should now be disabled as well. Additionally, items can no longer be purchased in the Cash Shop. Those seeking refunds must contact Steam.

Fans should enjoy the last days
The team apologizes to the fans for being unable to sustain operations of ASTA and hopes that players will enjoy the remaining time and have a lot of fun. Furthermore, the team thanks all players who have offered their support, such as training new players. Thus, the era of ASTA comes to an end once more. Whether a new operator will be found is questionable, after the operation has now been discontinued for the second time.
