The start of the Early Access phase of the survival MMORPG Dark and Light was a bit rocky. However, a new update brings improvements.
The major update addresses graphical issues like missing textures, UI problems, and lighting in the game. The rain looks better, just like the lava. The physics in the game have also been revised. Additionally, the nights are not as dark as before. Some optimizations to the quest system are also included, but these will continue during the EA phase.

NPCs are now wearing pants!
The creation of the hero has been slightly optimized. The male character with short hair no longer looks so strange. In addition, some bugs with taming, spells, alchemy, sleeping bags, and elementals have been fixed. Some of the NPCs that previously roamed without a lower body have also found their pants.
Players desire better performance
The reactions to the new update have been mixed so far. While some welcome the fact that many issues have been addressed in the update, others believe that the focus should have been on improving the game and server performance first.
Because these still present a major problem. Even on high-end PCs, Dark and Light does not run smoothly, and many servers exhibit instabilities that lead to severe lags and connection drops.
However, it must also be said that Dark and Light is still in the Early Access phase, and it takes a while for an EA game to reach the status of an Open Beta or a release version.
