What is the current status? Dark and Darker is still in alpha version and is periodically starting playtests. During the tests, you can try out the dungeon crawler alone or together with friends.
Currently, Playtest 4 is underway, which has been active since February 6th. The testing phase should have already been completed, but the developers extended it by a few days. Now it is clear at what time the current demo ends.

When does Playtest 4 end? The end is on February 16 at 09:00 AM German time. Until then, you can still enjoy the game and try out the changes from the latest hotfix. The time was confirmed by the Dark and Darker team in the official Discord of the game.

However, there have been more frequent server problems in recent days. According to developers, this is due to an attack on the servers. Whether the servers will stay online longer due to the downtime and if the end time of Playtest 4 will be postponed again is unclear.
Anyone who wants to quickly try the game before the demo ends can download the test version from the Steam page of Dark and Darker.

This was planned: Originally, the current playtest was only supposed to be active until February 13. However, the developers extended the duration. Reasons for this were downtimes at the trading post, matchmaking, and lost game time for players who were accidentally banned.
