Surrender… not!
Sometimes you even commit war crimes in Azeroth – at least when you translate the actions to real situations.
In the quest Surrender… not! players are tasked with disguising themselves in a Murloc costume while waving a white flag as they deeply penetrate the territory of the hostile Murlocs.

The quest text says:
The time has come to put an end to this horrid situation. Claximus must die if the Murlocs of the Winterfin have a chance for a better future!
I want you to take this Murloc suit – my replacement – and go into the caves of the Winterfins. Pretend you want to surrender, wave the white flag and the Murlocs will not attack you.
You will find Claximus in the southwestern corner of the caves. Take care of him as soon as you get close enough, and bring me one of his claws as proof that the grisly deed has been done.

However, from the very beginning, there are no peaceful intentions and “surrender” is not even an option.
The disguise and the white flag merely serve to prevent the Murlocs from attacking, allowing one to sneak up to the leader in the cave without any problems. There is no “peaceful discussion” here either – one drops the disguise and simply slaughters the Makrura.
By “real” standards, this approach would be a war crime, referred to as Perfidy, and is usually condemned internationally. After all, one is abusing the minimal rules that parties to a conflict have adhered to in order to ensure a minimum of humanity.
But as the saying goes? All is fair in love and war … at least in World of Warcraft.
