The long-awaited RPG Cyberpunk 2077 will not be played in a classic third-person perspective but from a first-person perspective. At least that’s what an insider claims.
Although the developers at CD Projekt are still tight-lipped about information, fans are thirsty for fresh news about Cyberpunk 2077.
After all, the game is the indirect successor to “The Witcher III” in a new setting and has been in development for many years. Expectations are high. If Cyberpunk 2077 is anything other than a masterpiece, it would likely disappoint fans. It’s no wonder that every piece of information, every leak, and every rumor is met with scrutiny; fans go wild even when a “Beep” is posted on Twitter.

First-Person instead of “Over-the-shoulder” camera
According to the authors of the Polish GRYOnline, who received their hints from an alleged insider, Cyberpunk 2077 will be played from a first-person perspective – just like in a classic shooter.
However, the first-person perspective is not supposed to turn Cyberpunk into a shooter. Instead, it is meant to make the action sequences of the role-playing game more exciting and provide better immersion with the game world. After all, this creates the impression that players experience the world of Cyberpunk 2077 through their own eyes.
Some tactical elements will also be omitted or need to be handled differently. Safe “peeking around corners,” as is often the case in third-person games, will likely fall by the wayside with the first-person perspective.
Wallruns and Campaign on the Moon
Further rumors from the alleged insider suggest that both studio parts (Warsaw and Krakow) are currently working on the game. In Krakow, they are working on a part of the campaign that is supposed to take place on the moon.
As a means of movement, there are supposed to be so-called “Wallruns” – the opportunity to run along walls – which seems plausible through physical augmentations, as is possible in the world of Cyberpunk.
Keep in mind that this information is merely an unconfirmed rumor until there is a clear statement from CD Projekt. They generally do not comment on rumors and alleged leaks.
