With Patch 2.0, a lot has changed in Cyberpunk 2077. In addition to updates for the skill tree, the cyberware system, and general gameplay, CD Projekt Red has also included a new reference to the anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners – and it is incredibly sad.
How does the anime fit into CD Projekt Red’s Cyberpunk universe? Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is a ten-episode anime from Studio Trigger Inc. The series is canon to the game and takes place in the same Night City, but a few years before V’s adventures.
What is Cyberpunk: Edgerunners about? Street kid David Martinez struggles to get by in Night City as best as he can. To finally stand on his own two feet, he wants to become an “Edgerunner” and joins a mercenary group with the help of his new acquaintance Lucy. However, the mega-corporation Arasaka is after him: David has a very valuable implant with him that the corpos want back.
Where can you currently watch the anime? Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is currently fully available on Netflix , so you can watch David and Lucy’s adventures completely in one go.

With Update 2.0, David now has a proper memorial in Night City.
Where can you find the memorial? Your destination is the Columbarium in Westbrook. Travel to the namesake fast travel spot and enter the building across the street. Walk down the main aisle to the end and look to the right. There you will find the memorials for David and even one for his mother.

Under the memorial it says:
You never took me to the moon, but you were still with me there.

Have you found the memorial yet? Have you seen the anime? We are curious!
