What is Cult of the Lamb? The game is a mix of action roguelite and management sim. As an adorable little sheep, you narrowly escape becoming a sacrificial lamb and quickly establish your own not-so-cute cult.
What kind of update is this? On November 23, the latest update for Cult of the Lamb titled “Sins of the Flesh” (in German “Sünden des Fleisches”) was announced via Steam. This made fans think only of one thing, and the rumor about a “sex update” spread.
Subsequently, developer “Massive Monster” decided to have some fun by asking for a milestone for the eagerly awaited update. The community promptly reached this within just 2 hours.

Now, the developer is turning its promise into action and announces the release date for the long-awaited free update. “Sins of the Flesh” is set to be released on January 16 for PC, PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.

What exactly does the update contain? “Sins of the Flesh” offers more than just sheer fleshly desire. The update is expected to include several new features:
- A new progression system brings more complexity to managing your own cult. As members of an exclusive circle, your most loyal followers engage in various sins while also receiving practical bonuses.
- You can improve cult life by building better buildings or fertilizing your fields with shiny dung.
- With the new firearms, you can now effectively counter enemy hordes.
- Thanks to the new tailoring system, every cultist can wear their own outfit. There are 23 different styles to choose from.
- If two of your followers are particularly affectionate, they might “accidentally” find an egg. With the right care, it won’t be long before loyal offspring for the cult comes forth.
Admittedly, the game may not be quite as scandalous with the egg-laying cultists. Still, the update promises some new features that should be useful for your cult on the path to world domination.
