On April 1st, the developers of the upcoming online shooter Enlisted pulled an April Fools’ joke and announced a Battle Royale mode called Cuisine Royale. This joke has now actually become a standalone game. It is available for free on Steam for just a few more days.
A Joke Becomes Reality
From April Fool’s joke to real game. The trend of more and more developers integrating a Battle Royale mode into their online shooters led the creators of Enlisted to make a joke. They announced Cuisine Royale, a Battle Royale mode where you fight with kitchen utensils. However, this joke received so much positive feedback and approval from fans that the development team decided to turn it into a standalone game – Cuisine Royale was born.
A real Battle Royale shooter. Cuisine Royale may poke fun at the genre and offer humorous elements, yet at its core, it is a genuine Battle Royale game.
- Dishes are important. For example, you use a colander as a helmet or a wok as body armor, and a waffle maker protects you even from powerful weapons.
- Scattered across the battlefield, you’ll find loot boxes, the contents of which are obvious, and you will always get precisely what is described.
- Improve your combat skills: applying a medical drip regenerates your health, and wearing glasses helps you aim better. And anyone chewing on a cigar becomes a particularly tough opponent!
- Massive battles: 30 players per match battle it out on the map. You start in your underwear and fight your way to the center of the ever-shrinking area to be the last one standing.
- Special underwear brings you good luck on the battlefield!
