There are moments in shooters that no one believes when you tell them. A Reddit user recorded his incredible luck in an almost lost match in CS:GO (Steam) and posted it as a clip online.
The last round went poorly for Few_Willingness_3700 and his team. Although they were ahead with 15 to 14 rounds won, after the first exchanges of fire, he was the only policeman left and had to think about how to survive against four terrorists.
He hid behind a crate on the B-side of the Inferno map and waited for his opponents. In the short clip, it can be seen that the opponents run past him because they suspect him in another direction.
The player opens fire immediately and surprises the three terrorist players coldly. First, he takes out the bomb carrier and then has to face off against an AWP shooter. The latter doesn’t take long and shoots with his high-caliber sniper rifle, which is deadly in most cases.
The shot that would likely have ended the round ricochets off the falling bomb from the previously killed bomb carrier and saves the policeman’s virtual life.
With the much faster shooting MP5-SD, he manages to take down the AWP shooter, who has to make the repeater operational again. The third enemy in the heated battle also stands no chance.
Finally, our hero also managed to defend himself against the fourth opponent and secured the victory for the anti-terror unit with 16 to 14 rounds won.
In CS:GO, skill also includes having luck
Situations like this are not unusual in Counter Strike Global Offensive. With its very precise gunplay, the now eleven-year-old shooter is among the most popular titles in the genre. Sometimes, alongside skillful play, a hefty portion of luck is also required.
In the CS-GO community, clips like this are celebrated, even if it was especially bitter for the losers in this case that the bomb thwarted their victory.
Actually, the timed explosives are a way for the terrorists to achieve victory. Provided they manage to place the explosives on the bomb site. Here, however, the physics of the bomb had other plans.
