With the upcoming update 5.7, the PvP MMORPG Crowfall is receiving an interesting feature: Seasons that are supposed to truly impact the game.
While most MMORPGs have no seasons at all, others at least offer changed landscapes. Crowfall takes it even a step further.

Seasons with Real Impacts
Seasons change the game. In Crowfall, the seasons significantly affect the game world. And you must react to it.
- Spring
Grants players +2 Abundant Harvests: All
Increases the drop rate of apples by 30%
Plethora Dust: All + 10%
- Summer
Grants players +1 Abundant Harvests: All
Increases the drop rate of apples by 20%
Plethora Dust: All + 5%
- Autumn
Grants players -1 Abundant Harvests: All
Reduces drop rate of apples by -5%
Plethora Dust: All -5%
- Winter
Grants players -2 Abundant Harvests: All
Reduces the drop rate of apples by -20%
Plethora Dust: All -10%
Seasonal Events: Each season is also supposed to receive random environmental events that occur periodically: light showers, dense morning fog, thunderstorms, or heavy snowfall. Like the environment, player avatars could also be affected by the seasons. For example, players could be more susceptible to lightning damage in a rainstorm or more vulnerable to cold in the snow. However, the developers have not yet implemented player influence.
Weather and Day-Night Cycle. Besides the seasons, the weather also plays a role. Depending on the seasons, there is more or less rain, or it snows in winter. Furthermore, there is a day-night cycle that also affects the world. The developers intend to share more about this at a later time.
A date for update 5.7 will be announced later. The release of the PvP MMORPG Crowfall has recently been postponed to 2019.
