Crowfall: The Druid is the Healer in an MMORPG without Healers

Working with the druid, the developers of the MMORPG Crowfall are currently working on a sort of healer class.

But wasn’t it said that there would be no healers in Crowfall? That’s true – somewhat. Because the druid is a support class that can do more than just heal. The druid is a mix between a healer and a ranged fighter. Although there are no explicit healers in Crowfall, healing still plays a role. Because when you’re in a group, someone has to take care of their wounds.

The druid is not a pure healer

The female druid – currently, there is only a female form – is expected to be introduced during the Hunger Dom and “Risky Siege” phases. The team currently has about half of the development for this class behind them and is now working on alternative armor sets, designing the powers, and the animations and special effects of the spells.

Casting healing spells replenishes the druid’s resources. However, it can also happen that the druid ignites due to an excess of spells, which causes damage until either the resource runs out or he dies. By using another type of magic, you can consume the resources.

Tactics are important

This is said by the developers to lead to interesting tactics without introducing a pure healer in Crowfall. So you have to decide whether to continue healing, taking the risk of self-ignition, or whether to use other magic. In terms of healing, the druid relies on healing spheres, regenerative fields, projectiles that heal, and other things. Additionally, the class has a range of stats that revolve around healing. The druid will be introduced in both male and female forms in the MMORPG Crowfall.
