The disciplines are items similar to runes, which allow you to grant your hero new abilities and values or enable you to use new weapons. Additionally, they open new slots for equipment, grant passive powers, and unlock new power tables.
For example, a player who is playing a knight can gain access to certain active and passive abilities with the bow through the sharpshooter discipline. He also receives an equipment slot for bow, arrows, and a skill table for ranged combat. Thus, the knight becomes a knight-archer.
A discipline rune stone can only be used once. Although you may replace it with another, the previous one will be destroyed. Rune stones exist in different quality levels, which affect the bonuses for values and attributes, for example. Rune stones can also be upgraded over time. Disciplines are divided into weapon disciplines for unlocking new weapons, major disciplines that bring new abilities, equipment slots, powers, and more, and minor disciplines that come with only one active or passive ability.
Craft discipline runes yourself
To engage with disciplines in Crowfall, you need to learn rune crafting and thus produce the runes. Each type requires a different key component for the crafting process. For weapon disciplines, this is an advanced weapon of the desired type.
