On which platforms is Diablo 4 available? Diablo 4 is available on PC (Battle.net, Steam), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S. Additionally, there are versions for PS4 and Xbox One.
Does Diablo 4 offer crossplay? Yes, Diablo 4 can be played fully crossplay without restrictions.
Does Diablo 4 offer cross-progression? Yes, if you own Diablo 4 on multiple platforms, your progress will be saved between them. However, progress in Diablo 4 is tied to your Battle.net account and shared across platforms.
Can I disable crossplay? Yes, you can turn off cross-platform play, but you must be in the main menu of Diablo 4 to do so. You can find the crossplay settings in the menu under the “Connect” tab. There you can toggle cross-network play and cross-network communication on and off.
Crossplay and Co-op: What is possible
How does co-op work? You can play Diablo 4 with up to 4 players in a team. There are various ways you can team up:
- You make arrangements with friends to play together.
- You interact with other players in the local chat of Diablo 4.
- You invite players in your vicinity in the open world of Diablo 4.
- You use the in-game group finder.
If you want to play with certain players more often, you have the option to add them to your friends list. To do this, open the “Friends” tab in the game menu and click “Add Friend” at the bottom. There you can enter an email address or a BattleTag and also see your own BattleTag.
Diablo 4 has servers in different regions, and you will automatically connect to the server with the best ping. However, you can invite and play with players from all over the world without restrictions.
In the game world, you enter dungeons instanced, but there is no pure solo or offline mode. Some content, such as the game’s world bosses, is designed specifically for multiple players. There, many players invite others into a group to benefit from it.
Why is it worth playing with others? If you are simply near another player, you already receive an XP bonus of 5%. In a group, you benefit from a 10% bonus on the XP you collect in Diablo 4.
