How do the developers respond to the fans? Before the calls from the community became too loud, Marketing Chief Will Powers had already responded to the fans’ inquiries. For him, the requests seemed a bit illogical and annoying, so he initially replied on Discord: “[…] Use your brain… if the game runs on a [GTX] 1060, a ROG Ally, and a Mac, it will also run on more powerful hardware like a standard PS5.”

But for the fans, this statement was not enough. They wanted to see proof and started asking for gameplay from the PS5 or Xbox Series S under all posts of Crimson Desert on social media.

Is there now gameplay? Yes, the developers delivered the requested gameplay on March 17, 2026. A video was released on the PlayStation Japan YouTube channel showing how Crimson Desert plays on the base console.

For many, this video is the last necessary proof to finally look forward to Crimson Desert. The developers have reassured the skeptical fans, and when the embargo lifts on March 18, there will also be detailed reviews that will surely provide insights into the technology.
