In a new co-op game on Steam, you will engage in space battles at the helm of your own designed spaceship. For their project, the developers have also found a big partner, namely the creators of War Thunder.
Which game is being talked about? It is called Star Wrath and is the latest game from Targem Games. The publisher is Gaijin – the same company that develops War Thunder. However, Star Wrath takes a different approach than the combat MMO, with the developers describing it as a “multiplayer space extraction action game.”
Today, on February 19, 2026, a closed beta test for Star Wrath starts. You can apply for it through the official website of the game at starwrath.com. Since the spots are limited, there is no guarantee that you will get access.
You can also get an initial impression from the announcement trailer:
Extraction game with space battles
What is the game about? You will engage in spaceship battles against other players and AI opponents, collecting resources along the way. To keep your loot, you must then successfully make an escape. You can also play co-op with friends.
Before battles, you choose one of several pilots, each having special abilities. You can also steal these abilities from other pilots during a battle. To do this, you simply need to collect their DNA, which is only possible with defeated opponents.
You can freely assemble your spaceship from several modules. In this way, you can create multiple spaceships with different strengths (and weaknesses). Whether nimble interceptor or heavily armored battleship: The chosen parts will greatly influence how your spaceship handles and how you play.
But you are not only allowed to build your spaceship from scratch, but also take apart others piece by piece. Every part of a spaceship can be damaged or destroyed. Therefore, it may be worthwhile to focus your damage on specific areas of an enemy spaceship.
When will the game be released? There is no fixed release date. However, the Steam page for Star Wrath indicates a release in 2026. It is also known that the game will be free to play.
