During G-Star 2023, NCSoft (Aion, Blade & Soul) showcased new titles. In addition to real-time strategy and adventure, we can expect a multiplayer shooter with an open world and sci-fi elements.
- NCSoft is known for Aion and Blade & Soul, but also for the upcoming MMORPG Throne and Liberty, which is set to be released on Steam in early 2024.
- The new titles presented by the studio at the event have nothing in common with the MMORPG Blade & Soul, which is among the best free-to-play Asian MMORPGs on the market.
At G-Star (comparable to gamescom), taking place from November 16 to 19 in Busan, Korea, NCSoft presented its upcoming projects. Plans include the open-world shooter Project LLL, the real-time strategy game Project G, and an interactive adventure game titled Project M. We will introduce you to the games, including trailers.
Project LLL
Project LLL is an open-world MMO shooter that invites players to engage in epic battles in a vast and dynamic environment. You move freely through the open world in third-person perspective, where other players are also present.
According to NCSoft, survival will be an “immersive and differentiated experience.” The world is built realistically, and you can feel the change of weather.
Project G
Project G is a real-time strategy game that is supposed to offer massive battlefields where players can expand their arsenal of units and home base. Weapons and objects are designed to enhance the strategic and tactical fun in a three-dimensional world.
A variety of unique characters and a command and control system are intended to increase the enjoyment of large battles.
Project M
Project M is an interactive adventure game with a Korean background. Various decisions made by the players are supposed to dynamically change the world, creating a unique gaming experience.
NCSoft aims to create a game with Project M where “narrative and gameplay are organically connected” through a multitude of explorations, interactivity, and action.
Release dates have not yet been set. Project G is currently in development for PC and mobile platforms. In contrast, Project M is designed for consoles and PC.
As for Throne and Liberty, you will need to be a little patient. While the MMORPG is expected to launch in early 2024, the release in Korea is already scheduled for early December.
