Smilegate is currently working with the indie developer Teeny Studio on a new MMORPG. It is called TeeTiny Online – Tower of Despair and is now entering a closed beta that runs until July 7, 2022. You can play the MMORPG on PC or mobile.
What kind of game is this? The MMORPG focuses on PvE and allows you to climb two different towers. Initially, you will be in the Goddess Tower, then at higher levels in the more difficult Tower of Trials.
TeeTiny Online features an open class system, similar to Final Fantasy XIV. Depending on which weapon you have equipped, your class changes and you can adapt your combat strategy.
Additionally, the game offers:
- A guardian spirit that serves as your companion and supports you in battle.
- Housing, even with a garden
- Boss battles that scale with your group
“We are not creating anything on a blockbuster scale”
The Korean development team emphasizes the importance of connecting players around the world. Therefore, there are no regional servers by continents, but a global one. To overcome language barriers, the chat is automatically translated.
The development team states: Their mission is for users worldwide to play together and not be separated from each other.
The developers at Teeny Studio seem less focused on creating the next MMORPG hit. On their website, they write: “We are not creating anything on a blockbuster scale. We are developing a unique concept for a relaxed global RPG.”
When will the game be available for us? Due to the concept, the closed beta is also available in the West. Via Stove, you can sign up for it. Alternatively, the game is available for download on Google Play in the mobile version.
Who should download it? For fans of colorful graphics looking for a not too complex MMORPG, TeeTiny is definitely worth it. Moreover, the automatic chat translation is certainly exciting, but you should be patient with communication and expect that things will be translated incorrectly and very humorously.
