The Norwegian game developer Funcom (Conan Exiles) has posted a job request. In this, there are some new details about the planned game, which was not supposed to receive any more information in 2018. It is a new coop shooter.
Funcom is looking for employees: The Funcom subsidiary in South Carolina is actively searching for new employees for a shooter for the “Heroic Signatures” brand. The job postings contain information about the game, such as console support and the underlying technology.
What we know about the “Heroic Signatures” shooter
We have known for some time that Funcom is working on a new shooter. In the quarterly report for the fourth quarter of 2017, Funcom revealed that they are working on a new shooter in South Carolina. However, they did not want to release any further information in 2018.
What is known about the shooter: Funcom is still keeping quiet about the new project. However, they already revealed some key facts about the game in the quarterly report. The new job postings on the official website have further descriptions that add to the picture.
What we already know about Funcom’s new shooter:
- It is based on a franchise of the “Heroic Signatures”.
- It will have nothing to do with Conan.
- It is a co-op shooter.
- There will be a premium model.
- The Unreal Engine is the foundation.
- There will be a console port for Xbox One and PS4.
New in this information are the premium model and the console port.

A game based on Mutant: Year Zero has already been announced by Funcom, and the world of Conan is not meant to be the foundation of the shooter. If Funcom has chosen a more well-known franchise, a “Solomon Kane” shooter or a “Mutant Chronicles” shooter would probably be likely.
