The space game No Man’s Sky had a rough launch after it broke under its own ambitions. However, this does not seem to deter the creators at Hello Games regarding their next project. Because it is supposed to be very ambitious again.
What is happening with the developers of NMS? No Man’s Sky was for many years the typical story brought up when talking about games that did not meet set expectations.
The disappointing release was legendary and it took many years for No Man’s Sky to shed this story somewhat and become the game that fans originally hoped for. In the meantime, it is, however, a real recommendation in terms of survival games.
Now Sean Murray from Hello Games commented to the portal IGN about the studio’s next project. They have been working in the background on something that is “quite ambitious” for quite a while.
What exactly does the boss say? “Similar to No Man’s Sky, it’s the kind of project that seems impossible even if a thousand people were working on it,” explains Murray. He further states: “A small team is working on it, but we like it that way.”
What kind of project it is remains unknown so far. It is currently said to be at a very early stage of development.
In the meantime, Hello Games is also continuing to work on No Man’s Sky: “No Man’s Sky will not be held back by the next project, but the new project will not be slowed down by No Man’s Sky either.”
