In World of Warcraft you can only wear one Legendary at a time – and there’s a good reason for that. Because a Warlock breaks the rules and kills everything.
Legendary items are a staple of World of Warcraft Shadowlands. Without a Legendary, the character loses a lot of power. However, legendary items are limited to one item per character. You cannot wear multiple at the same time. Why this is for the best is demonstrated by the YouTuber Rextroy in his video. He combines multiple legendary effects – and dominates in PvP before his opponents can react.
What happened? The well-known Paladin Rextroy has unpacked his Warlock in the latest video to impressively demonstrate how this class can completely destroy up to four well-equipped players in PvP – and that in less than 3 seconds.
How does it work? Rextroy skillfully alternates between different legendary items so that the various buffs are stacked higher in succession. In the end, he benefits from three legendary effects:
- Wrath of Consumption: This Legendary increases regular damage by 30% for up to 30 seconds.
- Rotting Soul pouch: Increases critical strike rating and haste by up to 20% for 8 seconds.
- Claw of Endereth: Increases the speed of the life drain channeling by 100%.
The exciting thing here is that the effects of the Legendaries also remain active when the item is removed – as long as the corresponding buff does not expire.
This is further combined with additional buffs, such as the War Drums, which create a haste buff.
Additionally, the popular frogs that Rextroy uses in many videos are also not to be missed. This time they also help to stack Agony several times to maximize the yield of the talent “Inevitable Death”, which increases the damage of the next life drain by up to 750%.
All these things combined ultimately mean that the Warlock deals about 40,000 to 50,000 damage within 2 seconds – blasting everything except tanks out of existence.
Accordingly, the poor Horde players react with surprise after their resurrection and express their respect in most cases. Some are also quite angry and take revenge first.
Isn’t that totally OP? Basically yes. However, this probably won’t work in most situations, as the combo requires a long setup time and a lot of preparation. “Just box someone” is practically not possible. Furthermore, this quirk of legendary items is likely to be fixed soon, as Rextroy usually informs Blizzard about such exploits before he uploads his video.
