Actually, this glitch in FIFA 21 is more annoying than funny. But the commentator pulls out all his repertoire to describe the situation. This makes it really funny.
What happened? The player BuschLatte146 shared a video of a glitch in FIFA 21 on reddit. He describes it with the title “I have no words”.
The video shows a squad battle game. In this mode, you play with your Ultimate Team against a team controlled by the computer. The player took a shot shortly after the kickoff, from about the halfway line, presumably trying to catch the goalkeeper off guard.
But apparently the game itself was not quite prepared for the situation. The ball was stuck in the goal corner for several seconds.
What makes the clip so good
You definitely need to listen to the clip with sound. Because the commentator showcases all his skills.
In the middle of a sentence, the commentator Derek Rae is caught off guard by the goal situation. He interrupts his sentence and begins with his observation. Six times in a row, he dryly explains that the ball did not go into the goal, but hit the crossbar or the post.
Meanwhile, the goalkeeper and the player are fooling around on the goal line, trying to get the round ball into the square goal somehow.
Oops and pushed onto the wood work.
And touched onto the frame of the goal.
And foiled only by the crossbar.
The crossbar got in the way.
Well the keeper is happy the bar was there.
Denied by the bar.
Back in play here.
A goal.
Eventually, the ball frees itself, and he continues with “Back in Play here”. Ultimately, the ball does cross the line, and Derek Rae ends with “A Goal”.
This would be roughly similar in German:
- Oops, the wood was in the way
- He hit the frame of the goal
- And only prevented by the crossbar
- The crossbar got in the way
- The goalkeeper is happy that the bar was there
- Back in play
- And goal
In this case, the commentators made the situation even funnier. Sometimes, however, they can be really annoying. Here you can find out how to change or turn off the commentators in FIFA 21.
