Last Epoch allows you to build dozens of different builds due to the sheer amount of loot. An expert has now experimented and found a playstyle that is stronger without weapons than most builds with weapons. However, he needs special gloves for this.
What kind of build is this?
- Falconers are a subclass of rogues and typically rely on a bird companion. However, the unarmed falconer build revolves around a melee skill: Spark Strike (“Cinderstrike”).
- The special thing: You may not carry a weapon; otherwise, the multipliers won’t apply. Only without weapons do you deal that much damage. The creator promises over 300,000 damage when everything ignites at once.
- At the moment, he is over 200 corruption and sees plenty of room for improvement. This would put the build at the top of the Tier List for Last Epoch.
This is how the build works: The build comes from YouTuber and ARPG expert Aaron Action RPG on YouTube. The content creator is among the smaller streamers on Twitch, but he knows a lot about Last Epoch.
Essentially, you play only with one skill, Spark Strike. All other abilities are merely for support, and the best part is that you only need to actively use a few of them. You play with:
- Shift
- Shuriken
- Spark Strike
- Explosive Trap (you only skill it, using something else like Smoke Bomb as your active ability)
- and Falconry
With the right skill allocation, you use most skills while using another: Shuriken are triggered with Shift, the trap while casting Spark Strike. So you only need to skill them, never use them actively.
The idea is to make enemies vulnerable with your falcon and attach explosive traps to them through unarmed melee hits with Spark Strike. Everything then explodes in a firestorm and dies in seconds. You can find the complete build here on LastEpochTools.

New gloves create crazy combinations
The build only works if you have a new, unique item: Falcon Fists. These have the special effect of increasing the base damage of Spark Strike by up to 16 for every point you invest in Falconry.
The goal is to get as many points in Falconry as possible. This can be achieved through the gloves themselves as well as the helmet. Depending on the roll, you can get over 400 bonus damage on Spark Strike, which is then multiplied through critical hits, penetration, and so on.
You don’t necessarily need other items, but they further increase your damage. Important are especially attributes like Dexterity, levels for Spark Strike, and increased Fire Damage. Aaron recommends the neck piece “Bleeding Heart” and the chest “Woven Flesh” so you can heal yourself.
Also, you should pay attention to building up your defensive stats. Important here are increased health and a shield in your offhand, so you can block effectively.
